Residential HVAC Trim Installer

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail‑oriented Residential HVAC Trim Installer to support our installation team during the trim‑out and finish phases of residential HVAC projects. This role focuses on the final installation and setup of HVAC components once homes are ready for trim, ensuring systems are properly installed, finished, and prepared for startup or final inspection. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical skills, takes pride in clean workmanship, and understands residential construction timelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and trim out residential HVAC equipment, including:
    • Air Conditioners, Heat Pumps, and Mini-Splits
    • Supply and return grilles, registers, and diffusers
    • Thermostats and basic controls
    • Condensate drains, flue connections, and final duct connections
  • Complete final system assembly following rough‑in and drywall
  • Ensure equipment is level, secure, sealed, and professionally finished
  • Verify system readiness for startup, inspection, or service turnover
  • Perform basic wiring and low‑voltage connections as required
  • Identify and report installation issues or deficiencies to supervisors
  • Work closely with installers, service technicians, and field leadership
  • Maintain clean, organized job sites and follow safety standards
  • Follow company installation standards, manufacturer specifications, and local codes

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of residential HVAC installation experience preferred
  • Familiarity with residential HVAC equipment and trim‑out procedures
  • Ability to read basic installation documents and follow instructions
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Ability to work independently and manage assigned trim jobs
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
  • Ability to lift, carry, and install HVAC equipment and materials safely

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in residential new construction or replacement trim
  • Low‑voltage wiring experience
  • EPA Section 608 Certification
  • Experience coordinating with production builders or project schedules
