Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and customer‑focused Residential HVAC Service / Warranty Technician to join our service team. This role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining residential HVAC systems, with a primary focus on warranty work, callbacks, and service-related follow‑ups. The ideal candidate takes pride in quality workmanship, troubleshooting accuracy, and delivering an excellent customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair residential HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ductless systems
  • Perform warranty repairs and manufacturer-required service work
  • Respond to installation callbacks to ensure systems operate as designed
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, airflow, and control issues
  • Perform system testing, adjustments, and commissioning as needed
  • Clearly document service findings, repairs, and warranty claims
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners regarding diagnoses, repairs, and system operation
  • Coordinate with installation, warehouse, and dispatch teams to obtain required materials or parts
  • Ensure all work complies with manufacturer specifications, company standards, and local codes
  • Maintain a clean, organized service vehicle and work area
  • Participate in ongoing technical training and safety meetings

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of residential HVAC service experience
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • Working knowledge of furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and airflow systems
  • EPA Section 608 Certification (required)
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and manufacturer documentation
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Ability to work independently and manage service calls efficiently

Preferred Qualifications

  • NATE certification(s)
  • Experience handling manufacturer warranty processes and documentation
  • Familiarity with high‑efficiency, inverter, or variable‑speed systems
  • Experience with smart thermostats and communicating controls
  • Background in commissioning or quality control inspections
